The small print, in plain English
What moves the price
- /Security rating — a 3-star anti-snap cylinder costs more than a basic one, and is worth every penny.
- /Access — third floor with no lift, or a door blocked by a skip, takes longer.
- /Vehicle — some manufacturers charge for key data. I'll tell you on the phone if yours is one.
- /Parts — I carry the common stuff. Anything ordered in is shown at cost plus fitting.
- /Time of day — out of hours is genuinely more expensive to run, so it's genuinely more expensive.
The guarantee
Twelve months on parts I supply and on my workmanship. If a lock I fitted fails in normal use, I come back and sort it, and you pay nothing.
If I quote you a price and the job turns out to be simpler than expected, the price comes down. That happens more often than you'd think and it's the whole reason people ring back.
