VEIL runs three benches out of Colchester: car care, locks and keys, and tech. We would rather know who is out there before the work lands than scramble around for someone at nine on a Friday night, so we are building a list of people we can call.

Lock changes, UPVC, non-destructive entry, car keys, and the general fix-it list. DBS checked, or willing to be. Out-of-hours work available if you want it, not required if you do not.
Phone and laptop screens, batteries, ports, board-level if you have it. This side is growing quickest. If you can diagnose properly rather than swapping parts until something works, that is the person we are after.
Picking devices up across Essex and East London. Clean licence, your own vehicle, sensible with people on doorsteps. Straightforward work, decent for topping up around other jobs.
The work is real and it is local. You get told what the job pays before you take it, and you get paid when it is done rather than in sixty days. If something goes wrong on a job we sort it together, we do not hang you out.
That there is a guaranteed volume of work every week, because there is not one yet on the tech side. Some weeks will be busy and some quiet. Anyone telling you otherwise at this stage is selling you something.
Turn up when you said, ring if you cannot, and tell the customer the truth about what a job needs. That last one matters more here than anywhere, because the whole thing is built on people not feeling done over.
